The Supreme Court already ruled that Governor Lynch and the Democrats’ attempt to raid the JUA’s account was unconstitutional. The Court correctly recognized that these funds are the private property of the medical professionals who pay into this fund and that the state has no legal right to take them.

Representative Wendelboe’s attempt at a second raid of the JUA account completely disregards the Court’s decision and the rights of the doctors and nurses who expect their money to be used to insure them against malpractice claims not state budget deficits.   We must be responsible and renew our focus on reducing spending and stop looking for quick fixes that don’t address the larger problem…an addiction to spending.
