Jeanie met with Superintendents from District 2 on February 18 at the Plymouth High School.  The meeting was hosted by Superintendent Mark Halloran of Plymouth and a delicious breakfast was provided by the Culinary Arts Program.  As a continuation of her outreach efforts, Jeanie invited the 11 superintendents to meet with her so that she could listen to their concerns, answer questions, and provide information about what’s happening in Concord relative to education issues.

Jeanie Forrester tours Precision Lumber and King Forest Products in Wentworth.  Jeanie had the opportunity to talk with Joe Robertie and Larry King of Precision Lumber and John King of King Forest Products to hear about the challenges facing the timber industry in New Hampshire.  Increased and new taxes and fees have negatively impacted their business.   “I believe the economic importance and value of this industry is critical to New Hampshire’s success.  Forest-based manufacturing and forest-related recreation and tourism impacts are far-reaching—we need to provide a pro-business environment that allows for success,” said Jeanie.
