As a gun owner and shooting enthusiast, I know the importance of protecting the rights of gun owners. Firearms play an important and positive role in the lives of New Hampshire citizens: hunting, competitive shooting, and firearm collecting are enjoyed by many, and the right to defend oneself is fundamental to the functioning of a free society.

Unfortunately, the right of law-abiding citizens to possess firearms is under constant attack. We must remain vigilant if we are to continue to enjoy the benefits of individual firearm ownership. As your State Senator, I will never back down from the defense of your 2nd Amendment rights, and the rights you are guaranteed in the New Hampshire State Constitution. This means steadfastly opposing any legislation that restricts the ability of citizens to purchase and possess firearms.
